Spiral Dance 2022 online video access
All Spiral Dancers contributed equally to the video production costs of for the 2021 dance recital. As a result you may freely share video access with your friends and family, including downloading the videos, however you may not re-upload the videos to ANY video or social media platforms, like Facebook and YouTube, or share the URL and password publicly due to very strict copyright reasons, especially pertaining to the music rights.
If you need to share a video for audition or scholarship purposes you may share a small selection of dance numbers but they must remain unlisted and password protected. You must remove the videos once they are no longer required for this original purpose.
You may back-up the video files to external hard drives and other similar storage mediums, including online cloud storage (like Dropbox), but be aware that video files are large and they may exceed the storage available in most free accounts.
All video portfolios are password protected. Please refer to studio email for the passwords.

Instructions
In the password box, enter the password for the specific recital year as listed above:
,
The top of the page has the Recital date and a search box. Each video has a video preview thumbnail and you can watch the video online by pressing the Play button. Also note there are volume bars, an HD button, and a full screen button. The volume bars are blue when the volume is on. The video is playing in HD when the HD is in blue. There is no benefit to playing the video in its small box in HD and to enjoy the video in 1080P or 720P HD quality you will want to click on the full screen button in the lower right hand corner.
At the bottom of the page you will see the page numbers. Each recital spans 6-7 pages and the current page is highlighted.
In addition to viewing the videos online, you can also download the videos for local playback on your computer, Tablet, Smart Phone (iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone), HDTV, and laptop. Playback on your high definition TV (HDTV) can be accomplished in the following ways (if supported):
1) You can stream the video from your computer to your HDTV if they are networked, either directly from your HDTV or through a streaming appliance, like an Apple TV, Roku, or WD Media Player.
2) You can copy the files to a USB drive and plug the USB stick into your HDTV. Not all HDTVs support this or have a USB slot and some USB slots are for upgrades only and not video playback.
3) You can connect a supported video game console to your HDTV and play the file from the console, usually from a USB drive. Supported models include Sony PS3 & PS4 and Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
4) You can connect your HTPC or laptop to your HDTV via HDMI.
5) You can connect your tablet or phone to your HDTV via Bluetooth or HDMI.
As you can tell, there are a lot of options for playback in High Definition. In general you probably already have a supported playback device that you can connect to your HDTV and a quick Google search will help you connect your devices or verify they are compatible.
There are four different video file versions that you can download:
Mobile: This is the smallest file and designed for low resolution and earlier generation smart phones.
HD: This is a 720P re-encode of the original file. Great for when you want HD but a smaller size. This file is compatible with many smart phones and tablets and great for your HDTV if it doesn’t support the larger Original file.
SD: This is the equivalent of standard definition widescreen and the file size is 1/3 the HD version. This file is compatible with many smart phones and tablets.
Original: This is the highest quality 1080P file and great for playback on your computer or HDTV. This is also the file you will want to archive.
I always suggest you download all four versions of one dance to test across your many devices to see what works where before you download multiple files.
